Fighting The Villain:
Fighting The Villain is a female fronted Progressive Rock band hailing from Hayward, CA. Their first three singles, "Desiderium", "Hidden", and "The Great Charlatan" were produced by Erik Ron (Get Scared, New Years Day, I the Mighty) and grabbed a wide spectrum of listeners with pop-infused vocals, progressive instrumentations, harmonies, and odd meters.
In late 2013 the band worked with producer Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, Dance Gavin Dance, Issues) for their debut EP which is set to be released early Spring 2014. "This EP kind of has a double meaning. We are all fascinated with the physiology of sleep and the meaning of dreams. Aside from dreaming in your sleep, almost everyone has a dream they have in real life, and our main source of happiness as humans is to reach and achieve that dream, and that is something we love to talk about to our fans" This EP will be another success of being that easy blend of progressive music with catchy vocal melodies.
FTV has been on numerous national tours and received airplay throughout the US and UK. Having shared the stage with many respectable artists such as Dance Gavin Dance, Confide, A Lot Like Birds, I the Mighty and New Years Day, the band heads into 2014 ready to tour consistently and dominate the road to addict new fans with infectious sounds that are Fighting The Villain.

In this and other bands, the two have played on main stages at music festivals, and toured regionally on both coasts. Now setting out under the band name "oblio", Blake and Free have set up residency in Los Angeles to develop a California fan-base in support of the new music.
